Agreement will expand live and on-demand content at the nation’s busiest participatory sports venue as well expand web and social media platforms

NEW YORK, September 15, 2015 –The President of Armory Track & Field Center in New York City, Dr. Norb Sander, and Founder/CEO Ross Krempley of RunnerSpace.com, based in Eugene, Oregon announced a six year agreement to enhance the coverage of track & field at the nation’s busiest indoor running facility.

“This exceptional, long term investment by RunnerSpace, in ArmoryTrack.com, will open to our thousands of athletes, most of high school age, new and exciting avenues of coverage and social media opportunities that places us on the cutting edge of the sport.” says Dr. Sander, now in his 23rd season at the helm of the Armory Foundation. “This outstanding commitment by RunnerSpace will elevate our events, promotions, video productions and social impact to a level not yet seen in track & field. There are very exciting times ahead.”

The partnership leverages RunnerSpace’s digital media capabilities to deliver content across multiple platforms giving both fans and participants instant access to “All-things Armory”. The first major project, an upgrade to ArmoryTrack.com, will bring an immersive experience to the growing number of users preferring to consume content on mobile devices. The new experience will include expanded interactive coverage of The Armory’s robust indoor meet schedule, opportunities to watch live streaming and on-demand content through the expanded RunnerSpace +plus subscription platform and the digital cataloging of more than 100 classic Armory meets. The Armory also gains access to RunnerSpace.com’s vast social network of participants and fans to help grow its reputation as THE premiere indoor track and field facility in the United States.

“The Armory facility is one of the gems of American Sports,” said Krempley. “We are excited and honored to partner with such a distinguished organization and look forward to giving them the tools to showcase their venue and events to audiences around the world, while extending the energy and excitement athletes, coaches and fans experience inside the historic facility to the digital and social world.“
